Mesotherapy with PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injections

•  Collection of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP): The procedure begins with the collection of a small amount of the patient's blood, usually from their arm. The blood sample is then processed in a centrifuge machine to separate the platelet-rich plasma from other blood components.
• Preparation of PRP: Once the PRP is isolated, it is collected into a syringe for injection. Platelets contain growth factors and other bioactive proteins that play a key role in tissue repair, regeneration, and healing.
• Injection of PRP: The PRP is injected into the targeted areas of the skin using fine needles or micro-injection techniques. The injections are typically administered superficially into the skin or scalp, depending on the specific cosmetic concerns being addressed.
• Stimulation of Collagen Production: Once injected, the growth factors and other bioactive proteins in the PRP stimulate collagen production, improve blood flow, and promote tissue regeneration in the treated area. This can result in smoother, firmer skin, reduced fine lines and wrinkles, and improved skin texture and tone.

•  mesotherapy with PRP is a safe and well-tolerated procedure. Discomfort during the treatment is minimized with the application of numbing cream. Some flakiness may occur due to natural skin turnover. Mild bruising, swelling, itchiness or redness may occur. 
•  There is minimal risk of side effects; you may experience some minor redness and swelling, as well as pinprick bleeding at the injection sites. 

•  Some mild discomfort may be felt while the PRP is being reinjected. The sensation typically felt is a burning or tingling sensation. This sensation only lasts a few minutes after the PRP injected. We ensure our patients are comfortable throughout the entire PRP treatment and apply topical numbing cream and ice to aid any discomfort. 

•  Typically takes between an hour or two to complete. This timeframe includes an additional time for the blood to be drawn and spun in the centrifuge, and topical numbing to be applied. 

 Generally, patients notice tightening and a more even tone to their skin in a week or two after PRP injections. These results continue to build for up to 6 months after treatment. 

 Results can be seen after one treatment, but the exact amount of treatments needed varies from patient to patient. Generally, 2‐3 treatments are advised, but more may be indicated for some individuals.
